I like the new relationship between Superman and Wonder Woman. Not because I’ve always shipped them (as the kids would say) but, because of what it represents to comic book culture as a whole. Honestly I like the relationship because I hope it ends in a massive fight sort of like the one between Batman and Superman in Dark Night Returns but, that is a conversation for another time. The relationship signals a change in the readers’ attitude toward superheroes. My overall issue with Super hero outfits isn't that all the women should wear more but, that the men should wear less. For Batman, Batwoman and the other human vigilantes it makes sense to wear armor. Huntress and Black Canary really need outfits that could stop a bullet and more camouflaged. Heck Batman really needs armor more like Ironman's. But if you are superhuman you don't need armor. If anything super humans have the opposite problems. I look at Superman and sweat my ass off in sympathy. I get that his outfit is Kryptonian in nature and can expand and shrink blah blah blah, but seriously does it need to look so stuffy?
